In this photo is a couple that reminds me of Noah and Allie. The female has the facial expressions and features Nicholas Sparks described and the male looks similar too. In the novel is describes a moment in their summer where they go to the beach and talk about their future together. This scene reminds me of what happened in the novel, Allie in her wealthy clothing and Noah in his white tee and a old work hat, spending time at the beach. I chose this picture because it is a excellent representation of what Noah and Allie look like and how they act together.

This picture as you can see is of a huge house, long open driveway, large pillars, vines, workers in the front yard/ gardeners which is exactly how Nicholas describes it down to the colors and everything. This picture fit perfectly and reminded me of Allies summer home where she meant Noah and spent there “summer of love.” This represents to me in a way of Allies wealth and the wealthy back round she comes from and how her parents are wealthy and want nothing but the same for her. Allies parents don’t approve of Noah, considering he is a small town boy who works at a shipping yard and barely has anything to offer young Allie, in their eyes. This is a scene in the novel where Noah and Allie fight in the driveway and break up temporarily due to Allies parent’s views on Noah. The very next day she is forced to leave and there summer is over together. This picture is a significant imagine of a lot that happened in the novel.

This is a photo of the main love interest in the novel holding a large stack of letters, ripped and torn imitating the picture above. The letters represent a bond between Noah and Allie when she has to leave for the city. Every day that she was gone he had written her a letter, for 365 days he wrote a letter hoping for her to return to at least one of them. Allies mother hides the letters from her until the very end when she makes her choice of whom she should be with. I chose this picture because the letters are brought up throughout the novel and it represents there bond, and how it never ends for Noah. In the novel the letters he wrote to her are significant to her decision in the end.

RoadsideCarnival.jpg

This is a photo of a local small town carnival by the beach and I chose it to represent “The Notebook” by Nicholas Sparks. This photograph provides an image from the beginning of the novel ( chapters 1-3), where the story all begins. Allie just came to town with her parents for the summer and her first night in town she attends the carnival with a few friends. This is the setting where Noah first see’s Allie and goes up to her blanty and asks her to go on a date with him and as she regects him, he keeps trying throughout the night. This is a good representation because it is where Noah falls in love at first site with young Allie and the exact setting where everything begins.

This is a photograph of the lake side building Noah has always dreamed about fixing up and making into a real home someday. It reminds me of how the author described it, located in the middle of nowhere, two stories and very rundown. When he and Allie are together she sneaks out and he brings her here one night and tells her about his plans. Allie insists she be involved since they plan on spending there lives together that she wants a white house with blue shutters and a long wooden porch where they can relax, drink tea and watch the sun go down together and he promises her that it will happen someday. Later that night Allies parents report her missing and a big fight breaks out first between Allie and her parents then between Allie and Noah. The next day she is forced to go back to New York with her parents without saying goodbye. After she left Noah writes her everyday and no replies, he goes crazy over her and
