I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Nicholas Spark’s novels. The plot of this novel is a love story between a rich up class girl and a small town boy, they spend a summer together and fall in love. But, Noah and Allie get torn apart by distance and Allies parents disapproval. But somehow Noah holds on for years builds Allie the house she always wanted and he’d promised her he would give her and writes her 365 letters everyday for a year. Allie living in New York meets a rich wealthy charming man she also falls in love with and gets engaged too. In the end she goes back to see Noah because she can’t get him out of her mind. They fall in love all over again but it’s a different kind of love they share. In the end Allie is forced to choose between true love and what her parents prefer a safe lifestyle. This is a true romance novel with comedy mixed in at times. It’s definitely a novel where you can relate to the characters and what they do. This novel has some for all ages and is very versatile, older people and younger people such as teenagers can relate to Noah and Allie. I would rate this novel a 9 out of 10 just because I loved it and I couldn’t put it down once i had started reading. “The Notebook” by Nicholas Sparks is a great novel, well written and keeps your attention.
