1. “The Notebook” is obviously named because the whole novel is a retold story about a young couples true love( Allie and Noah), retold by Noah in his elderly years hoping that his ederly wife Allie will overcome her altimers disease and come back to him. The story is written in a small notebook and the book flashes to Allie and Noah in the nursing home but mostly is a reread of the story made by Allie. Did the name for the novel just come to Nicholas and did he base the story on it or did the name come after to him just cause it made sense? I wonder what origonated the name for this hit novel?
2. This novel was one of the biggest Novels for Nicholas Sparks. It is the most well known and the first novel of his made into a movie, a best selling movie none the less. Did Nicholas ever think that it would ever become as big as it did ?
3. Novels are peiced together one by one or sometimes just come to the author all together. I wonder how long it actually took Nicholas Sparks to write a rough draft for “The Notebook.” Did it come easy to him and did all the scenes just flow together or was a process for him?
4. Nicholas Sparks books are romance novels, mainly for women. If I could personally ask Nicholas a question about his novels in general, I would ask him if it is difficult writing about love and relationships from a guys perspective? Does he write all his novels himself without any help or a co-writer? .
5. If Nicholas Sparks had to pick a favorite novel of his, since he has written and published so many, which would he choose? I wonder his opinion of things like that and his reasons for why his favorite novel is his favorite?
